About me

I am Dr. Susann Blaske with a focus on causal medicine for chronic complaints. Many of my patients come to me when standard approaches have been exhausted and there is still no lasting improvement. My aim is to make the connections in the body understandable , to create clarity and to develop a practicable path back to stability and quality of life – medically sound and with human support.

Why Safely Accompanied – Simply Described – Susann Blaske?

Safely accompanied

Medicine is complex. Sustainable change does not come from standard solutions, but from individual, professional support. You can find countless protocols, therapy concepts and nutritional recommendations on the internet – but what works for others may be ineffective or even counterproductive for you.

There is no one therapy that suits everyone, nor is there one “healthy” diet that is good for everyone. Metabolism, digestive juices, nervous system, phase of life and stress levels differ from person to person. If a concept is applied at the wrong time or for the wrong type of person, conditions often worsen instead of improving.

This is exactly where I come in.
I accompany you individually, safely and in depth – adapted to your everyday life, your body and your needs. Together we will clarify what you need, when you need it and in what order.

Change occurs where trust, expertise and cooperation come together.

Simply described

My state examination:

It was a crisp fall day. Excitement was in the air as I entered the rather uncomfortable room with the other candidates. Opposite us: several experienced doctors, ready to check every answer.
I explained clinical pictures, talked about therapies and introduced my examination patient. Everything went well professionally.

Once everyone was ready, we had to wait outside the door. Minutes that felt like an eternity. Then we were called back inside – the reviews.

I got a B.
Totally fine. And yet one sentence has stuck with me to this day:
“You explained everything correctly, but you used a choice of words as if you were explaining the whole thing to my grandma on the sofa.”

I was shocked.

Not because of the grade – but because of the message behind it.

Because that is precisely the point. Medicine must not confuse. It must not create distance. It must be understood.
What use is the correct diagnosis if the person in front of me doesn’t know what it means for their life? What good is the best therapy if it is not explained – comprehensibly, honestly, at eye level?

Too often during my studies I experienced patients saying to the nurse after the ward round: “Can you please explain to me what I actually have?
Not because they were uneducated – but because nobody spoke their language.

For me, a good doctor is not characterized by Latin technical terms, but by whether a patient dares to ask questions.
Whether they feel seen. Whether they understand what is happening in their body – and why which steps make sense.

Because only those who understand have the motivation to change.
And only those who change have the chance to achieve a sustainable new quality of life.
This is exactly what I stand for.

For medicine that explains.

For conversations that create clarity.
For support that doesn’t make you feel like you “don’t know enough”.

Simply described.

Susann Blaske

I am in the field of holistic health because I am convinced that symptoms are not the problemthey are clues. Indications that something is out of balance in the body. That’s exactly why I don’t suppress complaints, but get to the bottom of them.

My work is not about quick solutions or standard concepts. It’s about recognizing connections and seeing the person as a whole. The body, metabolism, nervous system, emotions, thoughts and lifestyle always work together. If only one part is considered, change often remains superficial.

This is also the problem with our specialization. The cardiologist only looks at the heart, the neurologist only at the pain in the head. Sustainable health requires more.

I work holistically because I have learned to think critically.
Not everything you read, not everything that is circulating on the internet, what Google or ChatGPT spits out, not everything that is taught at university or on training courses is automatically correct or effective.

The internet is full of information, but there has never been a time when I have read so much medical nonsense online. Unfounded, not thought through to the end, sometimes dangerous.

Many approaches fall short because they are viewed in isolation – without really taking the people behind them into account.
That’s why I question things. And that’s why I don’t recommend anything that I haven’t tested myself. Many of the paths I take with my patients today, I have already taken myself. Not out of curiosity, but out of conviction. I wanted to know what changes feel like, what they really achieve and where their limits lie.

I live what I teach.

For me, health is not a theoretical construct, but an everyday reality. I like to exercise, do sport, eat consciously and in line with my metabolism. I enjoy life, dance while cooking, laugh a lot and allow myself to be light. Not because everything is perfect – but because that’s where balance comes from.
I also bring this attitude to my work.

I meet you at eye level, explain things clearly and take my time. I want you to understand what is happening in your body. Because real change is only possible through understanding, clarity, trust and cooperation.

If you feel that this type of support suits you, then I invite you to take the next step.
Because then my root cause analysis is the right place for you to start.
